Food for Life

Welcome to our Food For Life Page!

We now have the Bronze Food For Life Partnership Mark!

The Food for Life Partnership is a network of schools and communities across England committed to transforming food culture.  Led by the Soil Association, the Food for Life Partnership brings together the practical expertise of the Focus on Food Campaign, Garden Organic and the Health Education Trust.

This web page will keep you informed about all the events taking place in school and within the community linked to food and growing.  We have a SNAG (School Nutrition Action Group)  running and will keep you up to date with this, cookery club, gardening club and many other things including links to relevant websites.

We are very lucky to have two farm links!  The Arley Farming Company (Lane Farm) is a dairy farm, situated in Shatterford, Bewdley and we visit the farm three times a year, have regular updates from Angus the farmer and have adopt a calf, named Buttercup.  We also have a local farm, Heathy Mill Farm, which is literally just down the road from school!  This is an arable farm and produces a variety of crops including wheat and barley, rapeseed oil, potatoes, spring onions and many more!  We held two very successful open day events in Summer 2011 and hope to do this again in 2012.  Thank you to both Mark and Angus for sharing their work with us.
