Scientific Investigation - How do polar bears stay warm?

We have been learning about the Arctic and wanted to find out how polar bears survive the harsh climate. We put one hand in an empty plastic bag and the other hand in a plastic bag with butter in a tray of freezing cold water. We found out that the hand in the butter was warm and it is the blubber (a layer of fat) that keeps polar bears warm.
