Tuesday 2nd June 2020 - Worcestershire School Games - Speed Bounce Challenge
This week marks the launch of the Worcestershire Virtual School Games Activity Village. It is an exciting programme of virtual competitions running during the summer term which we will be taking part in at school and at home through our Get Involved page. These virtual events will culminate in the Worcestershire Virtual School Games Week taking place between Monday 6th – Friday 10th July.
Details of all challenges, including video demonstrations are available via www.activehw.co.uk/worcestershire-school-games. The Games are for everyone, with modified versions of physical activity challenges also available, if required. Challenges are open to all pupils from reception all the way up to year 13 that attend a school in Worcestershire, so get older siblings involved too!
This is a great opportunity to give all pupils a taste of competition, an opportunity to represent their school and feel part of a school team whether in school or at home. All participants will receive an e-certificate and there will be prizes for the primary and secondary schools with the highest number of entries, along with other special awards, including a 'most improved' category. We therefore encourage the recording of first attempts and best attempts of the physical activity challenges to be in with a chance of winning.
The first challenge we would like you to try is the Speed Bounce Challenge! See the link and video below for further instructions. At home, ask your Parent/Guardian to submit your results via the following survey before Friday 5th June at 5pm: www.activehw.co.uk/forms/view/speed-bounce1
Good luck! We would love to see you having a go at firstname.lastname@example.org !
Monday 1st June 2020 - Sculpture challenge
