Daily Challenges W/B 15.06.2020

Friday 19th June 2020 - DT challenge

Today we would like you to design and make your own finger puppet based on a book character. Think of any features which they may need that are relevant to the story. See if you can retell some of the story using your puppet when you are done.

We would love to see your finger puppets and hear about the books which have inspired you at getinvolved@comberton.worcs.sch.uk

We would love to see how your experiments turn out at getinvolved@comberton.worcs.sch.uk .

Wednesday 17th June 2020 - Dear Earth Challenge

If you could write a letter to the Earth, what would you say?

What do you think is special about the Earth? What could you thank it for?

We've attached the template for you to have a go below! For full information, see https://summerreadingchallenge.org.uk/competition/dear-earth.

This activity is part of the Summer Reading Challenge, which has now launched! We would love you to get involved across the school! Ask your grown up to sign you up to join the 'Silly Squad' at https://summerreadingchallenge.org.uk/ where you can get rewards, play games and earn badges as you read books this summer!

Tuesday 16th June 2020 - Music challenge

Conduct your own musical experiment using a selection of glasses and water. Put different amounts of water in each glass and see how the sound changes when you tap it with a metal spoon. Can you put the glasses in order of pitch?

Once you are happy with the order - have a go at making a simple tune and recording it on paper!

The idea comes from the instagram page - 'home_learning_tips' 🐞

Have a fab day everyone!
