Miss McIntyre's Class

This week we learnt all about the Arctic and Antarctica! We matched adults and their young, looked at non-fiction books, drew polar bears with chalks, painted polar bears with forks and sponges, explored the feel of ice, made inuksuk sculptures, made animal masks, drew and painted the Northern Lights, painted polar animals on foil, made polar bear plates, created penguin pebbles, did an experiment to find out how penguins stay dry and polar bears stay warm, explored Arctic slime, played with small world, drew snowflakes in flour and cut these out of paper, created a polar bear snow globe, used sugar cubes to build igloos and created sun catchers. What a busy week!
