Arriving at School

Children should arrive at school no earlier than 8.30am, after which the playground will be supervised by a member of staff. Children in year groups other than 5 and 6 should be supervised by a parent or carer until the school bell sounds. During this time, younger siblings should not be left in the care of older siblings.

We have set up a ‘fun exercise’ class before school which runs in the hall from 8.30am. This is a ‘drop in’ session and all are welcome—it may help burn off excess energy!

The school bell rings at 8.45 am, at which point the children should either sensibly make their way to their classroom (Years 4, 5 and 6) or line up with their class and wait quietly for their teacher to collect them and welcome them back to school for a new day.

If children come to school on a scooter or bike they should put it in the scooter store (down the side of Nursery) when they arrive and not ride around the playground on it.

If a pupil arrives late (after 8.45am) then they must enter the school via the office to ensure they are registered correctly, this will mean that all children are accounted for in the event of a fire.

Rainy Mornings

Children can come straight into school on rainy mornings but please do not arrive to early.
