Pupils will return to school on Wednesday 7th September 2022.
What time will my child’s school day be?
All pupils will start at 8.45am and finish at 3.15pm.
Children may ride their bike or scooter to school and these can be left in the area at the side of our Reception classrooms. We will continue with our one-way system; the wearing of face coverings on school grounds is at your discretion.
What will my child wear for school?
All pupils will be expected to wear school uniform as normal. The only difference to this is that on the day that your child has PE we are asking that they come to school in their PE kit (proper school PE kit expected). PE days are as follows:
Reception | Year 1 | Year 2 | Year 3 | Year 4 | Year 5 | Year 6 |
Miss McIntyre – Tuesday
Miss Poulsen - Friday | Monday
| Thursday | Wednesday | Tuesday | Monday | Friday |
What will my child need for school?
We are continuing to limit the equipment that the children need to bring to school so they will only need a packed lunch (if provided by home), a water bottle (we are not able to offer these in school) and their book bag (Reception – Year 3) or a drawstring bag (Years 4 - 6).
When will break times and Lunchtimes be?
Primary schools will no longer be expected to keep pupils in bubbles. We have therefore organised the children into three ‘groups’. Reception will operate as one group, Years 1-3 as another and Years 4-6 as another. These children will have their break times and lunchtimes together as follows.
Grouping | Start of day | Break time | Lunchtime | End of day |
Reception | 8.45am | As required | 11.30am – 12.30pm | 3.15pm |
Years 1 - 3 | 8.45am | 10.15am – 10.35am | 12.00pm – 1.00pm | 3.15pm |
Years 4 - 6 | 8.45am | 10.50am – 11.05am | 12.30pm – 1.30pm | 3.15pm |
At lunchtime, children will eat in their classroom (apart from Reception and Year 1 who will use the dining room) and will then have 30 minutes outside.
What will my child eat?
Your child may either bring a packed lunch from home or order a hot meal. Our three-week menu will continue and meals are available to order via ParentPay. The meals are free for children in Reception, Years 1 and 2 as well as for children eligible for Free School Meals and will be charged at £2.34 for any other child who would like to order one. All children must bring their own water bottle to school as we are unable to offer these.
Is my child expected to attend every day?
Your child must come to school in September and the usual rules will apply, including:
